Hi, I am Cat Looke Thompson. Welcome to OM / NOURISH / THRIVE. This is a place for me to share my wellness inspiration and my deep passion for health and well-being. This is a creative outlet about nourishing your life from the inside out.
I am a nutritionist, yoga teacher, and soon to be wellness coach. I received my degree in Human Nutrition & Food Science from the University of Houston. I take an holistic approach in applying my knowledge of nutrition. I am currently going through training from Well Coaches, to receive my certification as a wellness coach.
I am passionate about food, holistic health, a DIY-enthusiast, and a yogini. My love for nurturing, satisfying vegetarian food inspires me to provide individuals with healthy, simple recipes, mindful eating insights, and an holistic alternative to a thriving life around food. I love to learn and share as much as I can about holistic health, therapeutic herbalism, and preventative medicine, in order to experience and pass along healing and enrichment for the soul. My goal is to help people integrate the practices and principles of yoga and wellness into their daily lives with more power, ease, and fun.
I was inspired to create OM / NOURISH / THRIVE in order to provide a fun and interactive space for people to get out of the stress of day-to-day life and walk into self-care, love, inspiration, and sanity.
YOGA
I love the practices of yoga and mindfulness and how beautifully it is integrated into all aspects of life. I am committed to loving large, having fun, and living a vibrant life.
My yoga journey began in high school when exploring different varieties in fitness. I was struggling through body image issues, control, and perfectionism. I was a constant people pleaser, burning out on constant activity, and not caring for myself. Then through travel, exploration, and finally creating space for myself, I became interested in being fully present and authentic. Yoga became an invaluable tool at this point my life. I experienced healing and transformation through dedication to the artful practices of yoga. My passion for health, well-being and physical movement inspired my journey to wanting to be a teacher.
I am a certified 200-RYT Yoga, Kids Yoga, and Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga Teacher. I love sharing the power of yoga through teaching. I believe yoga to be a practice of awareness; it is about tuning into your body, and connecting with your true self. Yoga has provided me with the access to feel empowered in my own body. My mission is to share that access with the world through the integration of nutrition, nutrition, and wellness.
I teach Vinyasa Yoga with the intention of leaving my students feeling connected, inspired, and present. In my class I integrate vitality, centeredness, openness, and presence.
